Raleigh, NC Burns Supper 2014
Gentlemen,
I am new to the kilted community (don't even have a kilt yet!), but I want to start participating. The SCOT organization in Raleigh appears to be hosting a Burns Supper in Raleigh on the 24th (TirNaNog Irish Pub) and in Kenansville on the 25th.
Any members care to talk a little about the events? Is either limited to members only?
Even unkilted, I look forward to my first Burns dinner!
Thanks,
Trog

I'm bumping this (I hope!) because it never showed up when I checked the "What's New" section.

I frequented TirNaNog in Raleigh quite often whilst living just a couple of hours east in Jacksonville, North Carolina when stationed at Camp Lejeune. Not a bad place for a good pint and hearty fare.

Trog,
Sorry I'm not familiar with these events, but I went to the SCOT website and found that they have an event contact person with an email address and a phone number. You could check with him about whether non-members may attend. Hopefully they can, and you will, and, if so, have a great time!

Mr. Sinclair,
Thanks. I saw the contact info, but wanted to see what the "buzz" is first. Regardless, I do plan to go to one or the other. It will be a great experience, and I am likely to meet some great folks. Wanted to see if any rabble were among them.
Best,
Trog
