The Quaich Comes to Virginia
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.
The mail carrier waved to me seeing me through the office window as he set the package at the door. He was running late in his deliveries as we were experiencing another polar snowy blast.
The Quaich has landed!
Tomorrow the Quaich will attend our Annual Meeting of our Scottish Society. Later the Quaich will visit historic sites of the area. The grand finale will be Saturday's participation in the in the Fredericksburg Burns Night!

I am glad you can say that. My new kilt left Toronto at 9:08 AM Jan. 16 and has not been heard of since. There was supposed to be tracking on it but evidently the USPS no longer updates its tracking site. The only info I have on it is from the Canadian Post tracking site where it say left the country at 9:08.

Maybe it's snowed in somewhere...

All 1 1/2" of snow has caused the library where we hold our local Scottish Society meetings to close for today, so we have postponed the Annual Meeting till our Burns Night on Saturday to elect our 2014 officers. Not to be without a venue for the XMTS Quaich to make its debut a group of us diehards are meeting a Park Lane Tavern tonight. So if you are in the area we gather around 6:30 PM.
Don't worry Hawk it will happen with pics!

Ern you are always on your toes, to keep things kicking along. One door shuts and you open another. Look forward to photos of the debut.
Cheers

Ern....If we shut things done here for a snowfall of 1.5", we be shutdown much of the winter.... haha
Looking forward the Quaich's adventure... - A tavern sounds like a better venue to test drive it than a library anyway!
Cheers...Bill
