    moms reaction to me utilikilt

well me and dad kind of forgot<on purpose> to tell my mom that i had ordered a black workmans utilikilt. we figured that we would suprise her with me wearing it to a chiropractic convention she was at over the weekend, well the story below is here reaction and about us teasing her about me ordering a kilt.

one of the functions for the convention was a gathering of the aniversery doctors, and it was held at an irish pub<very impressive pub by the way> well me and dad knew that my fine kilt was going to be here on thursday so i told her i ordered a kilt for the gathering at the irish pub and me and dad where going to go kilted to the event, she thought i was joking so i told her i would show her the tracking number well she did not want to get up and just thought i was joking.

we prosisted to tease her about it for a couple of days until saturday and half @$$ made a bet that i had ordered a kilt, well she still did not believe me so saturday rools around and i had been wearing me kilt shortly after it got here.

well it was saturday and we where staying at the hotel and me and dad went running, we had to find me some boxers<found and bought some fine guiness boxers> before we went to the hotel well we got there and waited for her to come out of the room she was in, it was a meeting, she comes out and looks at me and says you aint wearing that $k!#t to the pub or any where i am at.

so i corrected her and told her twas not a
sk!## but a fine kilt, and that i would not wear it to the pub but would be wearing it where ever i wanted after that<i paid for it so she could not say much>,and she said we would talk about it later.

    short story,
she has kind of gotten used to me wearing it and i put it on right after we got back to the hotel with some dispute from her but i was not going to wear those d@m$ docker pants much longer.

    thanks

A slow but surely positive step. Sometimes those who are closest to us find it rather hard to accept our kilt wearing, glad to hear she is getting used to it.

It does get to be a nonevent pretty fast. My wife loved it right away as did my mother. My dad was a bit skeptical at first but went along with it. He doesn't even really notice anymore. I think he'd try wearing a kilt if it wasn't for all the surgical scars on his legs.

hang in there KC, remember that in wearing the kilt you are doing nothing illegal, immoral or abusive.

When wearing a kilt you are strapping to your body centuries of tradition and a garment that offers freedom and comfort, and a feeling of self-worth - a real confidence builder.

As someone once said, "a man in a kilt is a man and a half".

In a time when young people lack vision, purpose, self-worth and confidence, the kilt is a symbol of much that is good and wholesome.

It does everything but cure cancer, and I'm looking into that issue.

    thank yall

thank yall for the insperation and encouragement, i think mom has decided that most people will think me kilt is a pair of shorts.

grandmaw and grandpaw have not even noticed it or if they have then they have not asked about it, although gmaw did ask what i was wearing this morning when i got in the car and mom told her clothes, she did not ask after that

i have since i can remember worn alternative clothes, baggy pants and loose fitting shirts, well i usualy had to hold me pants and shorts up but me kilt has freed me to walk with both hands any where i want and i am much more comfertable know in me kilt
