    Unexpected tartan experience.

Stopping for a lunch break in Val D'Isere and searching out a vacant table round the back of a restaurant, we came across this couple providing a medley of songs to accompany our lunch. I have no idea what their nationality was although their English sounded British to me and although the pictures do not do her justice, the girl was attractively attired in a Royal Stewart mini kilt.

and just to add some proper kilt authenticity to the post, this was us waiting for the departure coach at 5.30am. Unfortunately the camera's focus system does not seem to work any better than me at that time in the morning.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

With her defiance to the cold in short sleeves and mini-kilt amongst the snowy backdrop, I would guess Scottish blood runs within her soul.

The sun was shining and the area quite sheltered so it was fairly warm despite the snow. sun cream was definitely recommended.
