Uber cute at 15 months in a kilt

I just finished my grandson's third kit, and it's the first one he's had since he started walking. So, I thought he ought to have the whole outfit for the Pikes Peak Highland Games this past weekend! I went to Joann's and bought a buckle and a bit of wide black elastic and made him a belt, and we went to Target and bought some black knee socks to wear with some tiny tartan flashes. I'd found him a teeny weeny sporran at the New Hampshire Highland Games last fall, and a piper friend gave me a tiny pair of black leather wing tips that she'd found at a garage sale about 20 years ago. They look just like ghillie brogues. Here's the result - Mommy, Daddy, and our grandson:

Kilt is Celtic Nations tartan in PV. Pleating is to the stripe:

Here's a pic of our grandson and me - I took my pipes with me, and the pipe band that our daughter plays in was gracious enough to let me join them for massed bands!

Other tartans in this post: first pic - USA St. Andrews Society (USA Bicentennial), Modern MacCallum; last pic - Modern MacGillivray.

Great pictures! He's adorable. What tartan is his daddy wears? It looks like Colorado State Seal?

As my friend Jessica used to say about her obscenely cute dog.....

    "weapons-grade cute".

Your grandson has the dog beat, hands down.

That is very cool! Before you start my black kilt, do you need any more grandchildren?.....maybe really old ones?
