I REALLY like the Craigie Plaid Heather tweed

I believe it is from The Isle Mill.

Any recommendations for tartans of a similar look would be greatly appreciated.

I like how the purple blends with the green. I would love to commission a kilt in the fabric in the future. Any thoughts?

I don't see any green in this tweed. Each to their own but not my cup of tea, I fi d it too insipid.

I can make out some green on my screen, just. Not a tweed that I can enthuse about either, I am afraid.

Yes it strikes me as being suitable for "fashion" uses rather than for a man's kilt.

(Fashion uses such as for a woman's suit, or a scarf, or a travel rug, or upholstery, or what have you.)

It goes to show how tastes can differ!

All-grey tartans are hugely popular now for Kilt Hire, but the lack of colour leaves me wanting more.

If I found a kilt made of this fabric, I would build an ensemble of dark (Hunter green) jacket, hose and tie and let the kilt attract the attention. I would reserve that suit for special occasions such as art shows or charity events. I can and sometimes wear pink and lavender shirts to accent the main color choice of my outfit.

If this is your normal "flair" color (most of your wardrobe) by all means, commission a kilt. I expect you will stand among few that can or would have a kilt of this fabric.

To my mind, this material looks like something a Grandmother would make up into a going to church suit. Just my opinion however, you do as you choose and enjoy.
