The Wife Finally Went Out With me

So, the wife finally agreed to go out with me while I wore a kilt. I think I've been wearing her down with my success this last Friday kilted at work as well as getting together with the neighbors and all the positive comments, especially from women. She had a "Paint Night" at a local brew pub tonight and said I could wear a kilt if I wanted. Her only request was that I pair it with a black T-shirt rather than dressing it up some.

Since I'm the new proud owner of some kickin hose, I pair the T-shirt with my USAK Casual German heritage kilt, black hose and some Clark's Montacute Lord Brogue Boots in black/charcoal. What do you think??

I had to chuckle at your post. If I called my bride of >40 years "the wife" I'd be more likely to be hit with a frying pan than have her go out with me!😉 Good looking pub outfit btw.
    Cheers....

A little bit here and there will work. Did you receive any compliments from other people with her listening?

I'm surprised at the number of "better halves" discussed on XMarks who disapprove of kilt wearing. That has never been a problem with the women in my life, nor any among the fairer sex encountered while I am out and about kilted.

My experience has been that women love a man in a kilt.

Usually when I'm out with my wife and I'm in my kilt and she's dressed nice as well, her service dog and I get the compliments (usually the dog then me) and my wife might as well be invisible.

Seems just about perfect to me, both the outfit and getting out with your wife.

I've just read this out to SWMBO...

My wife says the Dog should always get the compliments first, you can guess my position in the house!!

What do you call her then? As one who got married just last Saturday, I am keen to know.

Congratulations on your recent marriage. You can refer to "the car, the house, the fridge" but it is "my wife".....
or at least this is what I was told by SWMBO 40 years ago....
