    Modern take on the kilt?

This is Tommy Flanagan (on left) who was honorary Parade Marshall in New York on Saturday. I don't know who the other gentleman is.
Interesting (?) take on the kilt.

What's the story with the extra material coming from under their vests? It looks like pockets hanging from the belt.

If you need to add trouser pockets to a kilt, why not just wear trousers? Or shorts if length is tre issue.

Google 21st century kilt pics. It's a fashion thing. Big empty pockets (look even stranger when they're full of "stuff") and no sporran.

In my land surveying years, I would scuff the toes and heels kicking around the heavy brush while looking for property corners. I wear different footwear now that I work in home restoration of Antebellum (pre 1900) and 1930's structures). The wear on those shoes are different patterns.

I forget that the fashion industry will mimic wear patterns of clothes. I earn all my apparel "boo-boo's" honestly.

It's a fashion statement I've never understood. To think of all the jeans I've thrown out over the years when they were worn and abused enough to fetch $300 on the shelf.

That many pockets (even the right sleeve) is certainly a fashion statement. Those boots do need attention Terry but look like honest scuffs on the toes.

I'm all for scruffy boots, but not when everything else is smart and obviously brand new.
