    Kilted Ice Skating in Sweden

I am surprised this does not appear to have been shared here before. A word search for "skating" failed to bring it up.

    Wow that’s fantastic!
I love the costumes and how they were adapted to represent kilted attire.
Her belt with bow (probably sewn to the skirt in order not to impede the performance) has given me ideas.

That’s probably the only time I will ever say sparkles and rhinestones look fabulous with Tartan attire on a male.

Does anyone know what the music was and/or have a link?

Thanks Cessna that gave me a lovely boost this early Sunday morning before the coffee kicked in.

    Found another video
Different couple and (costume) trews this time

    https://youtu.be/Xm3LjsEQBSY

And another... ssshhh I’m having fun!

Far to camp and theatrical for my tastes but I do rather like the steampunk styled kilt for a Saturday night clubbing with a Tshirt & boots.

Planning to join the local South Bay Scots' As they are always looking for non pub activities, I was going to suggest a kilted skate or broom ball. Our three daughters work at a local 'outdoor' ice rink. All three instruct skating & one is an assistant manager. One of the parental perks, is a discount.

I'm a new member of South Bay Scots and I would be interested. Though I'm not yet a very good skater. Where is the rink located?

Winter Lodge in Palo Alto. It' about 5/8 of a full rink, recreational only. No hockey leagues. One of the last family places about. The brood started skating there 21-22 years ago, & never left. As for me, I don't skate. My philosophy, ask any at the rink, "Ice belongs in a glass with your beverage of choice". Well, as long as its not a single malt. Also, "Ice tore open the Titanic. I do not wish to meet a similar fate".

One of my FB friends who is a member of another popular kilt group shared this. I really thought their costumes and routine were beautifully done!
