Don't know if they celebrate in Scotland, but do know we (Scots, Irish, and Welsh) do celebrate in North America, so do our Canadian friends Lets see your St. Patrick Day kilts:

Here is mine, we through a small but fun party, almost all guests showed in in kilts...mainly the MacDonald Clanranald.

Today, March 19, is Canada's Patron saints feast day .....Canada's Patron Saint is St Joseph.....Some think it is Jean de Breboeuf but I don't recognise him as such and for reasons that wisely aren't to be discussed on this forum

The kilt I wear on Canada's Patron Saint day is Canada's Maple Leaf tartan in 16oz wool

I spent the week before St. Patrick’s Day kilted — see a separate thread for some of those pics. My MacKenzie Ancient tartan was suitable for meetings with not one, but two bishops, work at the church office, and errands around town.

On the day itself, we went out to lunch, did some shopping at Farm and Fleet, and went to a local wine bar. I drew the usual shouted “what’s under your skirt” comments from a passing pickup truck as well as frank admiration (of my Cheviot kilt hose, she said) from a barfly smoking outside a downtown tavern. 😉

At home that evening, we had several longtime friends over for a great dinner of corned beef and cabbage, salmon, and new potatoes. Our cat, Dewey, made sure I kept the fire banked.

I am much less traditional than most of the folks on this forum and a lot more casual than most. All that being said this is what I chose to wear for St Patrick's day. Light green shirt, Gray Stumptown Kilt, Olive Knee Socks L.L. Bean Bison boots and an orange hoodie.
