Not sure this is in the right placefor this question, but
what is the appropriate Welsh headwear with a cilt? Do they make Welsh clan badges?

Apologies; my picture did not load correctly - here is a picture of my traditional Welsh headwear from my time on the National team, hence the username.

As far as I have seen, each Surname will have the 'normal' heraldic coat of arms, but I have never seen 'clan badges' per se. As for head dress........anything goes I presume!

    Just kidding.

I think that since the use of the kilt by the welsh is an extremely recent practice, you can go one of two ways. First, since there is no traditional welsh kilt dress custom, wear whatever you please. Second, since welsh kilt wearing is inspired by that of Scotland, you could adopt/adapt Scottish kilted headwear to a welsh mode of kilt dress.

Personally I would stick with a balmoral, deerstalker, or similar such hat. Maybe in a color you think is more “welsh” in the way Irish caubeens are usually emerald green.

I you can’t find a welsh clan pin (if the welsh even had and analogue to the clan system) I see a number of silver dragon pins on google that might work.

Or a leek might be better since there’s a tradition of putting leeks in hats.

Ha! That's hilarious, but perfect! Just what I was looking for, haha just kidding.
I realize "clan" probably wasn't the right word, but wasn't sure what to say, maybe identification badge would be more accurate.
