San Diego St. Patrick’s Day — XMarkers Meet-Up?

I’ll be in San Diego for a work conference March 14-16, and I wonder if any XMarkers might like to meet up at the St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade on Saturday, March 14?

I’ll gladly pack my kilt if there’s a chance to meet up.

Are people in San Diego really one in a hundred?

Anyone in the area interested in meeting up on March 14?

Sorry, things have been busy around here so I’ve not had much time to think of a reply.

I don’t really go out for st Patrick’s. We usually just get together for a family dinner but I am considering doing a bit more of a party since it’s a Saturday.

I don’t go to any of the parades and I’ve not worn a kilt on st Patrick’s.

Have you got a nice bottle of port decanted for the dinner?

Not a bad idea. A bottle of Graham’s late bottled vintage maybe.

I also enjoy an Irish hand grenade or two. ;)

Sorry I expect to be busy that day.

It's a thing about the timing of St Pat's. When it falls on a Saturday pretty much every gig is on the day.

But when it's mid-week the gigs will be all spread out over the weekend before plus a few on the actual day.

So far gigs on the 12th, the 14th, and the 17th.

Yes, a late bottled vintage from Grahams would be a safe but sound choice, with little or no sediment to bother you when decanting. Remember port should be sipped and savoured, unlike Irish hand grenades, which appear to be gulped!
