Kilt Dreams
So I woke up this morning thinking....German American tartan kilt with lederhosen suspenders somehow attached....
Shades of Michael Keaton in Night Shift, "We feed the tuna fish mayonnaise.."
Well why not? Would be a cultural statement. Just not sure how to attach the lederhosen suspenders to the kilt...

The "suspenders" on Lederhosen are attached with buttons. It would be a simple job of sewing 4 buttons on the kilt.
Not any different from braces which also attach with buttons.

I prefer the first line of the UNIX Philosophy, which is do make each program do one thing well (rather than adding all the things to one feature-rich program).
No reason you can't combine a kilt with lederhosen, but I don't personally get the appeal.

No clue about appeal...just an idea I woke up with.....maybe when folks asked about it would be a chance to explain the German heritage tartan....
Or a way to flirt with the edge of the envelope...

How many yards does the kilt need to be that it becomes too heavy for the side adjusters or a wide belt, and now needs suspenders to keep it up?
Are you making like a 'winter kilt' from more like old Army Blankets instead of 12-16 oz wool? I dunno, maybe it's a kilt for Arctic expeditions?
I think we need a really bad photoshop of the idea.

Since USA Kilts makes the German American tartan figured it would be polyviscose...light weight.

I believe they have German Heritage in 16-oz wool or PV, both from Marton Mills.
