    New KIlt

Drove over to Barb Tewksbury's yesterday to pick up my new kilt. Ancient Campbell made from HOE heavy weight with s kilting selvedge (no herringbone). It's gorgeous. It fits perfectly and has a nice high rise.

My first new kilt in 39 years, so I don't count as a serial kilter (pipe band stuff doesn't count).

    Congratulations!!

I too was on a decades-long kilt-buying hiatus; the last kilt I had bought was for my wedding in 1988.

(The kilts I was wearing during the hiatus were band-issued ones.)

Then in 2009 I came into a small sum of money and ordered my first kilt in ages, an Isle Of Skye.

And that was it for another decade...but now I've bought three new kilts in the last five years!
