What do you think of this kilt?

This is a kilt by a kilt maker in NY ( I think) and when I saw it sturck because of it's originality. I love the look and when the cash comes my way, I'm definatly going to pick one up. So, what do you guys think about this little piece of awsome called the "wee kilt"?

I realize I spelled the title wrong, it was a mistake I didn't catch.

Re: What do you think of this kilt?

It is a bit extreme - maybe a cord or narrow belt over the top to hold down the folded over part would be an idea?

I fixed the title using my moderator powers, by the way.

Re: What do you think of this kilt?

Nick - I don't think it is a kilt. For the price they are charging, you could buy a real one.

And no one would laugh at you.

Sorry to be so brutal, but you could be making a big and costly mistake.

    Regards

I did look at their modern kilt pricing... $900

    Some nice looking shirts though...

Wolfstone Kilts is a vendor at the Maryland Renaisance Fair. The idea behind the "wee kilt" is the lower half of a great kilt in appearance, without the need to hand pleat it every time you put it on. So it's really a costume piece.

Re: What do you think of this kilt?

Maybe it is the poor quality of the photographs, but there is a clumsiness to the clothing in general. The seams do not lay flat, etc. Maybe that's part of the period costume approach. The prices seem very high.

Re: What do you think of this kilt?

Thanks for fixing the title these late college nights are the best!

On to the kilt, you guys think so? I wasn't palining on getting it now, maybe like in year or two. But you don't think it makes a nice alternative kilt style? Along the lines of a utilikilt or learther kilt? But, if you really think it's a bad deal then I'll use my future money for pipe reeds or text books (...so pipe reeds it is!)

    Thanks,
    Nick.
