diced hose pattern
Do you all know of a diced hose knitting pattern?
The one I found is on backorder for who knows howlong.
I would like a pair for my wedding next year and have a friend
who will knit them for me but we need a pattern.
thank you

Re: diced hose pattern
My wife knits hose from the Gainford pattern book. She's also posted details of all of her knitting projects on Ravelry, so if your friend is also on Ravelry she can look for her under the name "JMN."
This is the "large shepherd's check" from the Gainford book.

The thing to realize is that Lady Gainford assumes that the knitter will already be familiar with knitting socks. She just gives the pattern for the cuff and it's up to the knitter to continue it down the leg and foot. So if your knitting friend is comfortable doing that, great! If not, she may need a little help/advice.
