My Xmas wish is that if Xmarkers wish to wear white/cream hose and ghillie brogues, they should follow LitTrog's lead and do it right: thick cable knit and regular laces.

Merry Christmas to all!

I know the hose are cream-colored; They're well made.
I know I'm wearing THOSE shoes; I cut the strings and made them look halfway normal.
I like them both.
Doesn't matter--nobody's looking at me, anyway!

'Twas the night before Christmas, 'n all through the keep
Not a creature was stirring, not even Highland sheep;
The family and I had just settled to bed,
n' I kept thinking had the black cattle been fed?
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but BoldHighlander of XMarks & his smooth collie Sassy!



His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow....



He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread....



N' I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he & Sassy strode out of sight,
‘Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!
