Thanks Matt. Twice the price . . . your book review?

Well, that's the actual retail price, suggested by the publisher. The $10 version on Amazon is just a steal. I suspect someone selling a used copy.

It's a great book and has more technical detail about the history of the tailored kilt than anything else you will find. If you are interested in the kilt in any kind of a serious way, this is an excellent resource.

One further thought on the book - the print book has all the illustrations in B&W, but if you opt for the CD-ROM version instead, you get all the photographs in full color, which is really nice.

    I have both versions.

Hmm. Amazon shows them as new at $10, but there are errors there sometimes.

And the price on the CD version?

It's well worth the $20.00, if you ask me. I've had my copy for like ten years, and I still look back to it for info.
