    Hehehe 'Stripes and checks'???

No accounting for tastes but I think they can look OK. I'd go out in that combo if I owned a pinstr....

    Oh wait a minute...

I am inclined to agree with Jock. However, if YOU like it then it is fine. I am not inspired by the jacket.

That jacket is an entirely different kettle of fish from the one in the OP's original post, IMHO. It doesn't scream or cause eye pain, at all.

Have you thought of matching the jacket with a solid Black or Saffron kilt?

Okay, no expert here, and I am known to push the envelope at times, but something subdued like the Holyrood tartan or even a saffron solid or forest green solid might be better. That being said, many say that tartan should be considered neutral, like blue jeans, so if you have the confidence, just do it. I didn't like the pairing with the 'Blackwatch' tartan but perhaps something like the Ozzie tartan would work. Don't be dissuaded, there is a combination that will work...get familiar with Photoshop, and good luck.
