There used to be a TK not so far from our Houston office but it closed last year. Might have to find the Twin Peaks instead next time I'm in Houston

I get the impression from all of this that the Tilted Kilt is a place I'd have no interest in going to. "Hooters in minikilts" seems to sum it up and I don't go to Hooters either.

Call me prudish but I don't care for places with women in skimpy outfits. I might have thought it was great at the age of 15 but by the time I became an adult, and started having real relationships with real women, stuff like that made me cringe a bit.

My local pub, an English pub, is staffed by normally-dressed English people; it carries a great selection of English and Scottish ales, beers, bitters, and stouts; it shows live English Premiership matches. It will continue to be my "local".

BTW on my "kilt" searches on Ebay I came across a Titled Kilt shirt which says "St Patty's Day" on it, which tells me all I need to know.

One of these days I'm going to become an adult, too, and no longer care to look at women in skimpy outfits. If I'm lucky, that will happen when I'm about 95.

And, I would never call you prudish.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I like to come at things from a more positive direction. Instead of focusing on the skimpy outfits, let's view them as being tastefully naked.

So you take a "the thigh is half uncovered" approach to life. A thought I can get behind myself, and what a position to be in.

Sometimes my kilts get a little tilted hanging in the closet.

I do my drinking at home where I can go straight to bed.

And, no, I don't like kittens. They are miniature cats, after all.

No Bishops Finger (I love that one!), but they did have Newcastle Nut Brown Ale on tap, and that's always a fine option. The girls were all easy to look at, good waitresses, and friendly. Food was better than many pubs I've been to on either side of the pond. Cheesy? You bet! I might go back.

My son recently returned from a trip to Phoenix (Tempe, actually). Turns out he really does care about the food at TTK's. He told me he likes the Danny Boy's Shepherd's Pie for dinner and a Big **** burger for lunch.

He agrees with a number of posters on this thread that TTK's doesn't try to present a Scottish pub atmosphere, but more of a mixed Scottish/Irish sports bar environment with "modern American overtones", ie boobs.

    Tastefully naked!
Let's view them indeed, kind of like viewing a fine, tasteful living art display. Support your local artists, folks. I think they should likely be up for some government grant to continue their good work.
