So at a guess I did not qualify for that august group?
So, I guess we all know what to get Jock for Christmas next year. ;) We need sizes Jock.

I voted mod/trad worn both ways as I have a Newsome tank, 2 semi-trads, a CC economy, and a CC philabeag [historical]. I wear kilts at traditional kilt waist [man of substance] as they look better to me that way but also wear Rock T's, henley's, hoodies...sometimes futball socks with scrunched socks over them...and I can go THCD if I decide to.

I voted 2, simply because I'll very occasionally wear a denim jacket, a BSA uniform shirt and/or a baseball cap with my kilt. Most of the time, my kilt-wearing is done in connection with piping, so I'm usually on the more traditional end of things.

Jock, KISS and Guns-N-Roses (GNR) are both American rock bands. KISS from the 1970's (and still going, but not doing much touring). GNR is from the 1980's, but the original band broke up in the 90's.

Jock, this is exaxtly why you are a one-of-a-kind, dear sir.

Guns N Roses and Kiss were popular rock bands years ago. Flip-Flop sandals are also called thong sandals. I doubt that they are worn much in the Highlands...far from practical but in California pretty much everyone owns a pair (beaches, heat).

T-shirts, I RARELY EVER wear one with a kilt except as an undershirt (as they were intended). Scrunched hose...not so much. Hike them bad boys up as they were intended. Polo shirts, affirmative. Perfectly acceptable. Button ups...check.

    Baseball cap...NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

Boots...I often wear my Doc Marten's (the brown, conservative style, NOT the punk rock style) with my kilt.

    Always a sporran.

Like David Thorpe, I wouldn't be caught dead in a MUG...sorry...those aren't kilts...they're man-skirts (so sayeth the owner of Utilikilts).

Its simple really, I have just never wanted to dress like an American. I am not anti American, but I am British (Scots department) and as such that is how ------I think----- I naturally want to dress. Its not a conscious thought as such and the result suits my inner self rather nicely.

    Jock,
I didn't think or assume that you did. You are your own man and that is admirable, sir.

Would you like the whole ensemble, Jock? Baseball cap, T-shirt, Utilikilt and flip-flops?

I'm only kidding. Myself, I've never worn flip-flops and never will, and I've never worn a baseball cap and a kilt at the same time, nor would I consider it. I do practically live and die in T-shirts, though, but I may be a tad younger than yourself. As for the Utilikilt, I have been thinking about getting a cargo kilt, but not one of theirs.

ETA: I am also careful about what logos I will wear on a T-shirt - I certainly wouldn't wear any of those with off-colour jokes about kilt wearing.

I currently voted #4, but hope soon to be in #6. I've decided that this is the year I get me some real tartan.
