Columbus , Indiana Scottish Festival / Highland Games is Celebrating 25 yrs

    Greetings Rabble !

The Columbus Indiana Scottish Festival and Highland Games is celebrating their 25 th anniversary this year during the weekend of Saturday Sept. 10 and Sunday Sept. 11 .

There is an added bonus to this year's events . They are hosting an MWPBA ( Midwest Pipe Band Association ) Pipe Band competition for Grades 3 , 4 and 5 Pipe Bands as well as solo Piping and solo Drumming .

These competitions were routine during the first 4 yrs of the Games , however , they have been absent for the past 20 yrs . I am very pleased to see them return and hopefully it will once again become a regular part of the Games .

Come join us if you can !

Its been a number of years since the 78th participated, and I was always overseas when that event happened. Have room for another couple of tents and a recruiting party?

    Equipment

Hi my name is Charlie and I live in West Lafayette Indiana. I was wondering if any of you might know where I can aquire implements to train with for highland games that aren't going to break the bank, budget friendly, or if any one has any equipment they might be willing to give a newbie to get started training. I would really like to show my kids their dad is still strong. Thanks for your time.

Hi Charlie ! Welcome to XMarks !

I don't compete in the games but here is a link to a couple of YouTube vids that show a guy making his own training implements .
