Seeking advice: packing (travel) and storing a fur sporran

Stan, I make two types of sporrans. One is saddle quality leather formed while wet to retain a shape, the other is pliable leather (like the suede one shown here) that lays flat. My latest (shown on the right in the photo) has a fur exterior sewn onto a formed body. I fill it to retain the shape of the body, whereas I do not fill the other for storing or travel.

These are just my examples and not the only option or choice of others.

? Cleaning fur, since it sits atop the appropriately named aprons. Leather spots I have down pat - about 3-4 times a year . But I have avoided fur for this exact issue. I see a lot of worn and balding fur sporrans on eBay probably from handling the fur and hide wrong.
I suspect moth protection to be a lot like wool?
