I bought my wife a wonderful stone brooch from Etsy and I'm thinking of ordering one to serve as a kilt pin. Haven't quite found I'm looking for but spend a decent amount of time browsing.

Nice! I picked one up recently - more than $35 but still a decent deal.

I've gotten stuff on Etsy a few times and have saved a couple of links to some Etsy shops/items for things I may be interested in picking up in the future.

    Richard:

Whew, that sporran is rough. And the asking price!(?) You can't call a used brown paper lunch bag an attache case. You always find the best Ebay moments to bring to us; well done.

I'm one of those who has tended to rely on Ebay and not used Etsy enough.

What I have used Etsy for finding people who make custom/bespoke garments.

I have a waistcoat, three tweed hats, and two bow ties from various makers I've found on Etsy. It's great for that!

What I under-use Etsy for is finding vintage things. I do have a vintage Brooks Brothers bow tie from Etsy.

I'll have to check out their sporrans sometime!
