    Oops!

I thought I'd better write and make it quite clear that in my response to the 'Cured' thread, that it was certainly not my intention to suggest that Graham or anyone else attending this board was an eccentric.

That arose from comments made to and about me-from people who have observed me as a regular kilt wearer. Which in turn I have taken aboard as I think a relevant observation.

So on the one hand I do apologise to anyone I might have offended-sorry: for that was never my intention.

On the other, I do think it essential if this board is to have any value, to post observations-experiences etc.

I've been called eccentric often enough that I some time ago learned to accept it as a compliment. Eccentricity, in and of itself, is not a bad thing. Add some phobias or strong biases against other folks, though, and it does make for some rather dangerous types. On occasion.

Don't know the thread. Don't care to know the contents either.

I do know that anytime someone on this site offers-up an apology, it's usually due to a perception that's totally off-track. Therefore, anytime someone apologizes for a misconception or mis-read, it's twice as appreciated since it wasn't needed in the first place.

Your reputation and stature as an eccentric bashing, skirt wearing, internet posting lunatic is safe with me.

Of course, the difference between crazy and eccentric is economic status, but we digress....

As I observed in an earlier post: if i was still twenty-something, had all my hair and a flat tummy, I'd be a kilted stud-muffin....at 52, I'm entering "charming eccentric" territory...

...to those of you who still meet the first description above: enjoy it while you can!

James, I really should have said that an apology wasn't needed, I was not offended and you're entitled to your opinion.

They that wear the kilt - nothing shall offend them! :-P

but thanks anyway, it's a measure of your gentlemanly attitude which I respect.

I'm eccentric, you're eccentric, wouldn't you like to be eccentric too?
