Did you try Kiltstore.net? Their made-to-measure BB jacket seems to be big enough.

I figured that was the reason they gave you. I assume that's because it's larger than what they stock and are able to alter to get that size. They have jackets in stock sizes on the rack and, when you order with your measurements, they alter the jackets to sort of fit someone of the measurements given.

I agree, I'd try kiltstore.net first and see what they say. According to their site, they do have made-to-measure Brian Boru Jackets , for a reasonable price ($434).

Made-To-Measure is the closest you can get to custom made, without the custom made price. MTM uses a stock pattern which they then alter to fit your measurements, and then construct the garment. For a garment to truly be Custom Made, the tailor measures your body, then draws a pattern to fit you specifically. My wife has made all of my suits made-to-measure, and she hasn't found a pattern that she hasn't been able to alter to fit me, even though I'm off the charts height wise.

You might also check with tailors or seamstresses locally and see if they could custom make one for you.

Seems like that is what I am going to do. I do not want a wool jacket. Cotton is good enough for me, and it is FAR less expensive.

    Cheers
