My previous avatar was Animal wearing Hunting Robertson.
My current avatar is this fellow:

I don't know if it's a real weathered tartan, but I like it.

Cameron, and while I like my kilt in Cameron, I think this shade is the nicest I've seen.

Mine is my favorite tartan - one that I have at least two claims to if not three. The Carolina District tartan. You can see pics in other threads but here is a link to Matt Newsome's website with a better pic than I've been able to take.

The Ancient MacKay is the background of my avatar. And to me it's the most beautiful tartan in the world, but I am a bit biased.
I still find it odd that for my entire life I've loved those shades of blue and green and then I found out that they were actually the colors of my clan tartan! Talk about something running in the blood.

Avatar tartan
Well mine is the Angus District Tartan I chose it and my username cuz at one time I thought that was were my mothers side of the family was from but as of right now I am unsure. Still though it is a real purdy tartan, one I plan to make a kilt from in the near future, wallet/checkbook willing<fingers crossed>

Here is a link to the tartan in my avatar:-

I obtained the avatar by scanning the apron of my kilt. The computer generated image in the above link, doesn't quite look the same as it does in the flesh.
