On the matter of deportment, I was not very kind to a rude woman this weekend at the rafting camp. In retrospect, I could have handled myself better, and regret that I did not address her stupid comments (beginning with the command "Bend over!") with more aplomb. I can't imagine that I left her and her cohorts with a good feeling about kilted people. I am learning from my mistakes, however.

...suggesting a certain humility balances the pride. I think if I keep these ideas in mind, I will do a better job of promoting the kilt in both positive and negative circumstances.
