I just realized that my last post on this thread sounded a whole lot crankier than I meant it to. Sorry, guys, it has been a long, hard month for me. I meant only to explain why I wasn't interested in the event, not to ruffle any feathers.

kiltedfirepiper- Would you believe this was in the small town of Durango, not up here in Denver?

Caradoc- I agree with you. Those comments were extremely rude, especially as I wasn't at an event, I was just out on bar crawls.

Just for fun, I'll tell you the results of some of those encounters- 29+ dismissed with a comment almost but not quite as rude, one made to feel about six inches high from a long tirade involving a lot of language I can't repeat here, and one got taken out behind the bar by a friend of mine who was in the SCA and given his lumps.

All that being said, I will add the (extremely weird for me to say) wish for y'all to enjoy your war.
