Life is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Ah, the smell of cherry blossoms in the air. Flowers everywhere. Both of my very best friends out with me on this glorious day... Please, let me share these moments with you and give you a chance to see all of this beauty.
My wife did the flower pictures... She's getting pretty good at this sort of thing. Takes your breath away eh?

I especially like the picture with the contrast between light and shadow. Funny thing about light and shadow... Light thinks it is the fastest thing in the universe, but no matter it goes, darkness is there waiting for it.

I am blessed beyond measure to live in a place so beautiful. I love it here, this is my home, my front yard, where I belong. I mean, look at it, who wouldn't want to live here?

I always enjoy your observations, Dread, but that is one of the best.
Lovely pictures; lovely spring day; smart new brown kilt. On my car journey to the court offices today it was nice to see all the new spring lambs and the daffodils. Spring is sprung indeed.

But haven't you ever noticed that no matter how long darkness waits, it is always banished by light?
I'm jealous of the beautiful flowers. The tulips and daffies are just starting to peek out here, so perhaps in another 7-10 days we will be able to enjpy a bit of color as well.

One defines the other. They coexist together in contrast. I don't know if banished is the right word. Darkness gives way to shadow, shadow to shade. Light eventually fades, and shares time with the darkness, this is twilight, when all things are in perfect balance and coexist harmoniously with each other. Yin and Yang in perfect circle. This balance never holds. Darkness gives way to the glory of light... Light decays and loses speed, fading away, allowing things to slip back in to the embrace of calm darkness. One always gives way to the other so that they have a shared meaningful existance. After all, if light wasn't slowed down by the darkness, it wouldn't be visible at all... Light moving at full speed leaves behind no trace of its passing, touching nothing, moving through the universe as though it doesn't exist. Darkness is much the same... With out the awareness and concept of light, darkness holds no meaning. Only emptiness.
If only we as humans could be so blessed to learn to share space together.
