The audacity of some people just blows my mind. This has gotten me totally fired up. I couldn't imagine if someone tried to design their own Alberta tartan, which would require royalties being paid to the designer if someone wanted to use it, and then claim that the original design was poorly conceived. Bad form Mr. McGill. Bad Form.

I just read Matt's blog and it is insightful as expected. I am from Missouri and I was interested in a Missouri tartan so I looked and what I saw was a boring tartan that looked like it might be a cheap bedspread. In fact most of the state tartans were very plain and uninteresting.

I am from Missouri and "Show Me" a better tartan.

I remember this. It is the "official" term that upset Matt & me too for that matter. It is OK to have a neat looking pattern I sell it, but to call it official is another matter.

My clan has 3 patterns out there. The cheif approves of 2. Therefore 2 are official the other is just a nice looking pattern.
