I wonder if the US Army Office of Heraldry realizes that they our motto "This We'll Defend" is copped from the MacFarlanes and the Kincaids?

Kind of makes you get all jitery inside just thinking about it, huh? My fingers itch for a claymore (the sword, not the mine!)

While the M16 Claymore mine is a one time use weapon I'll take it over a sword any day.

Wilco
Which means "Will Comply"
I didn't see that when I read the forum rules. I did think that it was approiate to the comment I was responding to. Sorry if I gave offense. One of the items I did see was to always be polite.

I've always thought it meant to not make war. The 'umber hand' is a traditional signal from ancient times - meaning 'I bear no arms'. Of course this did seem to get my clan into trouble in time past.

Clan Arthur's (MacArthur) is : FIDE ET OPERA = fidelity and labor (I've also heard it translated as "Faith and WorK"). Our battle cry is "Listen, O, Listen".

How about the Clan Gray's moto 'Anchor fast anchor'. The Gray's were heavy into shipping.
My clan on my mother's side. The Gray's do not have a recognized clan chief. Unfortunately The Campbell clan chief would be both and that is not acceptable.
