    SWK Weathered Mackenzie standard

Well, added another SWK to my Kloset today. I am working on a comprehensive comparision of the various Stillwater kilts from a newbie perspective.

For now let me say that the pics of the Weathered Mackenzie on the SWK site do not do the tartan justice.

My supervisor just walked back to my cage with the USPS box from MN. Once more I am completely blown away by what you get for the buck. This one has really lovely muted green and brown hues, black, white and red stripes. It came with flashes and Jerry threw in a hangar.

Amazingly, it is pleated to the sett, and pleated well. Like DreadBelly posted, I don't think this could have been made in a sweatshop either. The stitching is machine, but very hard to see. The apron has taken a sever ecrease from transit, so this one will go onto the kiltmaking/pressing table at the dog compound b4 the basting comes out.

Anybody looking for an economical weathered tartan kilt might do well to order one of these. Unless you are a big fat , I already got the 52....

Stay tuned for my breakdown of the various models and pics... it is a work in progress. If you are thinking about that weathered Mackenzie tartan standard SWK this kilted man votes for less thinking, more ordering.

    Kilt on --

AND - I just read in another thread that Macbeth is a sept of MacKenzie

So this one is semi-legit if I get challenged by the kilt police for a DNA swab.

What incredible luck, a quasi family tartan for 80 bucks..... Life is good.
