Upcoming German Highland Games near Leipzig
For all you Kilties in Germany!
Upcoming VII International Games on 15 and 16 September at Schloss Machern which is about 15 km east of Leipzig.
Here is a link http://www.schlossmachern.de
I'm going up on Saturday and staying over thru Sunday.
These are the bands that will be playing throutghout the day:
Fiddlers Green, The Aberlours, Garlic & Onions, Shamrock, The voice of Thistle and Fred Morrison.
I really don't know the bands, but it should be fun anyway. There will also be band competitions, probably 10 or 12.
If anyone else is planning on going, speak up.
This will be my third one this year and I know I missed another one in Halle at the end of July (Had other plans, in Scotland!)
Hope to see some of you there!
Tom

I hope you´ll have lots of fun there. I´ve seen Fiddler´s Green here in Solingen a couple of years before. They´re really fantastic. It´s a pity that Leipzig is a bit out of striking distance for me.
Enjoy your trip

Yeah, Fiddlers Green were great, but I haven´t heard them yet with their new lead singer.
And if Leipzig is too far, how about:
British Days & Country Fair in Krefeld.
I´ll be there on saturday!
