Believe me, it is much more convenient to have a sporran. I stole my son's sporran at a recent Highland Games (he was in the bounce house!). It was very pleasant not to have to control a purse (similar to controlling a sword belt, especially when the purse weighs "25 pounds"). Also, very pleasant when my beloved called me on the cell phone (set to vibrate! ).

    Be well,

On one hand that definitely falls under the heading of TMI

On the other now you know one of the little secrets.

Knitted lace stockings in fine wool look rather good, though I don't know where they could be bought.

A small vertical pattern, repeated several times with narrow bands of rib in between, or an all over pattern with a narrow stocking stitch panel centre back in which to do the increases work well.

You need the centre back panel in all over lace otherwise it gets really confusing as to where you are in the pattern - unless you like living dangerously.

I think they could be done on a knitting machine - though I have not tried it. I do lace, and I have knitted socks but not at the same time.

I'll give you the sporran but don't take my garter belt. Please I've been married for a long time, I need the garter belt.

For those of you that don't speak female, a scrunchy is a rubber band style hair tie

I have looked all over the web and have found only a couple.. The ones I found, can only be had in the standard tartans: Black Watch, Royal Stewart, etc.

It would be nice if some of our industrious and creative members could make them for sale. They could be made from the scraps of other tartan crafts!!
    Paul,

There used to be someone based out of Truro, Nova Scotia who did just that. Got to know her back in 2001, when I was on the men's long hair hyperboard back in the day... Prices were pretty reasonable, too.

Not sure if she's still out there, but her name was Mona Scott, and she used to sell stuff on eBait under the username "xsree".
