They look great! Not too bright (although I'm not adverse to "bright"), but a nice rich buttercup yellow. We're off on holiday tomorrow, so you'll have to wait for a photo.
Thanks Matt!
Best regards,

I too have been wearing yellow, or gold, hose with my XMtS kilt for some time and, I think, to great effect but, like Glen, I have no photos - yet! One thing that yellow hose does is to draw out the fine yellow stripe in the XMtS tartan, and make it a little more prominent.
As for flashes or garter ties: I usually wear the former in a mid-blue shade, or the latter in blue with blue and yellow fringes.
Take care,
Ham.

Ahh! Finally!
It'll be some time before I buy however. I can't justify the $9+ shipping for just a pair of garters right now. It'll have to wait until I can find something else to add to the order.
Glad you have them, though.

I had a chance to wear the new yellow hose from the Scottish Tartan Museum, and I must say I think they look great!

Why, oh why am I reminded of Malvolio from The Twelfth Night?
"Daylight and champaign discovers not more: this is
open. I will be proud, I will read politic authors,
I will baffle Sir Toby, I will wash off gross
acquaintance, I will be point-devise the very man.
I do not now fool myself, to let imagination jade
me; for every reason excites to this, that my lady
loves me. She did commend my yellow stockings of
late, she did praise my leg being cross-gartered;
and in this she manifests herself to my love, and
with a kind of injunction drives me to these habits
of her liking. I thank my stars I am happy. I will
be strange, stout, in yellow stockings, and
cross-gartered, even with the swiftness of putting
on. Jove and my stars be praised! Here is yet a
postscript."
Best
