    Great story! Kilt ON!

Those kinds of comments are the ones I value t he most, comming from adult/senior persons.

Your story reminded me of the Scots Senior Lady i met at a fabric store while kilted and she told me how nice to see a kilted man in this country and how glad to know I was wearing a sporran.

Good on you and get ready for many more nice comments!

Well, despite what some folks might say, you don't have to wear it every day, unless you want to. We don't want any "Kilt Tyrants" any more than we want "Trouser Tyrants."

Now, I think what you might have meant is you want to get the point where you can wear a kilt as everyday wear, meaning you can wear the kilt whenever you choose to.

The sincere comments like that are worth their weight in gold.

The fun and funny comments make it worth the effort as well.

Just finished an entire week kilted on vacation in N.C. Was at an antique shop with my wife. A group of 'older' women smiled and said that they liked the kilt. After I passed, I heard one say "I never thought I'd be a skirt chaser...but..." ;-)

I turned and winked at her. The group erupted into laughter.

I like it when they put in a positive comment and say they're gonna get one because of me.

Were they wearing red-hats? The rowdy crew that my wife hangs out with are certainly capable of that sort of comment.

I got a similar one re a 4th Friday (street festival here) when a 50+ matron in our church choir said she saw me, an thought I looked "hot" . . . . when you are 75, that is a compliment from a kid!
