Ozman/Stan
So sorry to hear your news, though glad that you are able to share it.
I'm led to believe that our personal attitude has a lot to do with how we respond to treatment. My brother-in-law recently had a serious protate cancer and yet his attitude was exceptional - accepting but refusing to let it get in the way of his enjoyment of the world. The surgeon is almost incredulous at how well he has recovered and returned to work, even though no-one expected him to do so.
I'm sure it won't be easy but try to live for every moment, and I'm sure it will be for the good!
Keep us all in the loop!
Best wishes
Graham.

Best wishes from Singapore, Ozman. Perhaps I should be getting my physical too.

Stan, as a fellow sufferer (not in the same area, I hasten to add) my thoughts and best wishes are with you now and in the months ahead. Thus far, medication has kept things under control for me as I have been advised that Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy are not options. I trust that your treatment will be of short duration and 100% effective.
Take care,
Ham.

Thanks for the encouragement; I've chosen to approach this with humor (Let's face it, what else can one do, considering where it is located!) Admittedly somewhat tentative, but hey, comnpared to the sombre Oncologists I'm a veritable riot.
After one particularly humiliating examination, I suggested the Doc owed me at least flowers and dinner, maybe a movie; he just looked at me blankly......![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif) ![Hide](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/hide.gif)
(I thought it was funny, anyway, so there!)![Rofl](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
The young guy assistant went into hysterics, but the Doc looked at the both of us as if we were from Mars. Ah well...![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
So I'm anticipating have a great time disrupting Kaiser Permanente.

You'll be in my thoughts. I hope that you have a very speedy recovery so that you can attend Christmas Mass
