Term for Scottish emigrant descendants?
Long ago I seem to recall coming across a term for people of Scottish emigrant descent.
Anyone know the term?
[Not sure if this is the right spot for this question, couldn't find anything better matching a non-kilt topic!]

"Us"
I've simply heard "Scots" and "Scots-Irish" before ... although there may have been another term in one of the Scots-Irish threads ...
Covenanters is a new one to me. But it doesn't (necessarily) include the Jacobites, so it's not inclusive.

In light of The Clearances, this would make sense.

By the way, Welcome to the rabble! Where in Wisconsin are you located? As for your question, how about "original settlers", or "founding fathers".

For this Episcopalian, that would be correct -- that is, would not like.
