I need a Sporran
I am looking for a plain black leather day sporran. No tassels. Simple closure. Nothing elaborate. Suggestions?

Buzz Kidder makes a number of very simple yet large and sturdy day sporrans.
A number of XMTS sponsors carry them (The Scottish Tartans Museum, Stillwater Kilts, etc)
They run $55 to $65
Most do not have tassels
I have one and every other X Marker I know who has them has been impressed with the value for the money

Your "no tassels" made me think of this one at USA Kilts.

A thought ...
A Buzz Kidder sporran?
Both of mine (one black, one brown) use a magnetic catch, have no tassels and will either work with a sporran belt or a set of sporran hangers.

Day Sporran
Check out USA Kilts. I got a nice one from Rocky. Black, no tassels, magnetic closure, small pewter Celtic knot on the front.
Cost was reasonable, and looks great.
Good luck,

Try ebay, they usually have several listed. I've seen 1 with a pin closure that looks really nice.

Tassels are easier to remove than put on if you find a tasseled sporran cheaper.

One could always check out Ebay to get a better idea of what kind of leather sporran you would like. There's an astonishing array of "plain leather day" sporrans out there. From there, you can either buy it in Ebay or search the vast quantity of online shops and hook yourself up. And remember, the dollar is doing very well against the pound right now.
Also, if you have a local shop, you could hook yourself up by supporting your local Scottish highland wear supply depot.
