    Confederate Memorial Tartan

    Here is Lady Chrystel reflecting upon a splendid Confederate Memorial Tartan fabric she just got from a friend through the Post.
    Included with it was a gorgeous silver thistle brooch and this French poem :

    Le ciel est, par dessus le toit,
    Si bleu, si calme !
    Un arbre, par dessus le toit,
    Berce sa palme.

    La cloche, dans le ciel qu'on voit,
    Doucement tinte.
    Un oiseau sur l'arbre qu'on voit,
    Chante sa plainte.

    Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, la vie est lą !
    Simple et tranquille.
    Cette paisible rumeur lą
    Vient de la ville.

    - Qu'as-tu fait, ō toi que voilą
    Pleurant sans cesse,
    Dis, qu'as-tu fait, toi que voilą,
    De ta jeunesse ?



    These are bright days indeed ! May they be blessed !

    Wow, what a gorgeous Tartan. Will the kilt be for yourself or a friend? I've been meaning to get a CMT. Please be sure to post some photos when the kilt is finished.

    I have always liked that tartan. I know 2 fellows here in town that have a kilt made with it.

    That is indeed a splendid tartan! My great great grandfather Samuel Taylor was a spy for General Bobby Lee.

    I have to say I don't really care for it. I feel there's too much red. It just doesn't say "Dixie" to me...
