    Thanks for posting that pic of the B and W Menzies. I've only ever known the Special Dress version.
    I love the look of black and white tartans. My first kilt was a Dress Black Erskine.

    I don't know the precise purpose, but I would guess that the black and white tartans are actually the oldest of the tartans, dating from before the invention of color. ith:
