Wear the KILT and stand proud of who your are! They won't complain, I've worn mine to a local Brit Tea shoppe and they love it, no matter which one I choose to wear!

Hello and welcome from a fellow Houstonian. I've never been given a hard time by any pub or restaurant (including Japanese) for wearing my kilt; so, wear yours proudly no matter where you go. BTW, I will have a tent for the Clan MacIntyre Association at the Houston Highland Games. Be sure to come by to say hello.

Welcome cousin,
Don't think there's a single case on record of a Macdonald caring much what others think of us...
And, guessing the owners of the pub would be most thrilled to have a kilted customer to add to their establishment's ambiance.
Nice thing about Clan Donald is we have a LOT of clan tartans to choose from - and as you pointed out - a bunch of intermingled clan tartans too.
