There is a Scottish MP, the first of his kind. He made history, things can only get better. First Govan, then Glasgow Central. He won, the son did not.

There's many ranges of the market, that serve different people.
Reluctant or not, some of us just don't have the money for top of the line, and only wear kilts as knock around attire, so lower quality is acceptable - and even at $100-150, they aren't exactly something you're going to wear to do gardening or car mechanics in. Besides, most of the people you run into at school, or shopping, or in the crush of a club, are not going to be inspecting the quality; they are going to take in the general look, say "Cool," and move on.
I just picked up a Hamilton Gray at the local games that has a label saying just "The Kilt;" the label looks suspiciously like my MacDonald that says "Scottish Highland Kilt" - same script, same border on the label. They are both mass-produced, and they will pass just fine to the untrained eye; for my purposes, that's good enough.

I am curious why Heather has not answered/responded to the thread, I am sure she is monitoring. I recall that in her introduction she said she was here to provide a balance to the Gold Bros bashing.
Well Heather?
I say this having had a good experience with Heritage of Scotland.

Heather MacCain HAS in fact chimed into this thread earlier on, number 9 post on page 1. She has probably not been back because of the weekend.

Hey guys, sorry but it was weekend and Iusually don't check the forum on my days off!
If there is no heather MacCain, then who am I?
I've been working for a GB as a part of marketing team, as mentioned before. GB employs over 300 people, obviously not all of them work in Kirkcaldy.
Anyway, I don't know what would be the point for me to be here, if I wasn't working for GB.
Regarding the copyrighting of Prince of wales tartan, we produce a tartan SIMILAR to it, but not exactly the same one. It is not illegal.

I think what people are wondering is if you are an Indian using a Scottish name as a front, or are you actually anglo-celt using your birth name.

I'm Scottish. I don't see point in that question anyway.
