How Kilt friendly is SanFrancisco??
I will be heading out that way at the end of the month and was just curios as to the amount of kilt wearing done in that city.

You will see very few, if any, kilties in San Francisco--unless, of course, you hook up with some of the Nor Cal rabble. So if you're out and about in the city in a kilt you'll be on your own. I know, because I wear the kilt a lot and I can count on one hand the number of other kilties I've seen on the streets since last summer (and they're usually in UKs).
That said, donning the kilt in the city is NOT a problem. In fact, it's kind of fun being the only person in a kilt. YMMV, of course.

I'll bet there are some kilties at the Caledonian Club's functions.

San Fransisco is famous for being an accepting city.

I've oft considered wearing mine to Nirvana - a Burmese restaurant in the Castro (a kilted man fears nothing).

Yes, I would imagine you will receive nothing but praise---and perhaps some unexpected additional attention (depending where you go)---from the un-kilted public in SanFran'. ;)
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.

Do take some pics while you're out and about kilted in that most beautiful city.
Hmmm, is there a video of how a kilt shimmies in an earthquake?

Not going to be an issue. I wear mine around the City pretty often, and have never had a problem In fact, the only problem I've ever had was with a loud-mouth over in Tiburon, of all places...the LAST place in California I'd expect to have an issue.
Mind you, in four years of kilt=wearing I've had exactly two unpleasant experiences here in the Bay Area, and literally hundreds of good ones.
