In all fairness, you never expect anything great out of the Scottish soccer team anymore, nor from Ireland for that matter. I think the two countries are more proud now of the rugger buggers (Rugby teams).

the sad part is that scotland looked the better side for the first twenty minutes while norway picked up three early bookings to key players... and then the roof fell in.
same for the u.s.; i suppose holding a 0-1 lead for 80 minutes away at the azteca was too much to ask, but even a 1-1 draw would have done nicely.
