    Avon Walk Report

Did the Avon Walk kilted this weekend. My feet are sore, but I got to spend the weekend with over a thousand athletic sweaty ladies in skimpy pink outfits . Over 6.5 million dollars raised for breast cancer research and support. .

O.2 mile from the first day finish

    Second Day finish line

I would estimate that ~50 ladies asked to get a picture with me.

Next year (I'm already signed up) I want to take a kilted team to the DC walk. Any takers?

What a wonderful way of raising funds for good causes Geoff.

How long was the walk in total?

It was indeed a lot of fun. Altho hot, it was good weather, everybody was in good spirits and the volunteer crew took good care of us at rest stops with water, gatorade, clean portapotties, sunscreen, etc. The walk totals 39.3 miles, 26.2 the first day, a full marathon; and 13.1 the second, a half marathon. They had "sweeper" vans for those who needed or wished to stop short.
