Good bye, Dad.
My hero, friend, teacher, & dad are no more. After a struggle, my dad died late on Monday May 17, 2010. He was 85. He's also a WWII hero in my eyes, and has had many close calls and lots of stories, some of which will go untold. I have many happy memories and those of you who knew him, always knew how kind he was and always had a humorous thing to say, no matter how he felt or what was going on. I love you dad!
DALE.

I am sorry about your Dad. My thoughts are with you. You'll never be without him as long as you have your memories. You can re-run them whenever, wherever you want. Happy memories !
Your news puts in my mind more and more my own Dad and looking to the future. He sounds very much like your Dad and of similar age. Recently, he has been becoming more forgetful and is becoming more fragile. He has health authority visitors/helpers and I phone as often as I can. I am fretful thinking about how long he will be around. My mum’s gone, so has my brother and it’s just Dad and me left. When he goes, I’ll be sole survivor of the old family. I hope I can stick around a while for my wife and kids.

My prayers are with you and your family, it's tough loosing a parent. I lost my Dad three years ago to a very fast moving cancer. Have the comfort in knowing he is in a much better place, surrounded with love. His legacy lives through you, and you will always have his spirit around.
