Take the kids to see the family and do a couple of solo comps while I'm out there.
Andrew,
I am Dave's brother and in the band as well. We are actually looking at putting a band in for competing this year. (Grade V) I am also looking at competing solo.
This will be our first time in a band competition scenario so I am very excited but nervouse as well.

That's great, your very lucky to have Mr Troy as a pipe major. He's got a pretty great track record as far as competition goes. His son Jamie, as well as being an old friend, is my instructor ( through Skype) and my piping has come up in leaps and bounds in the last year that I've been taking lessons from him. Good luck with competing!

Both Dave and I take lessons from James Sr. They are both world class pipers and Jr can add world class drummer as well.
