Iona's Wellies
Jock Scot: Thanks for the advice. No green Wellies for me. I really like the Dubarry catalog. I want to hang out with those beautiful people, but I don't think I could afford it. Love the Buttercup shorts, but I couldn't pass the physical. Oh, and the boots look good, too. ;-)
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Jeez...I make do with a pair of Red Ball rubber boots and back them up with a pair of their hip waders.
I suppose there must be somebody out there that'll plunk down that kinda $$$ for a pair of boots that are gonna get muddy but I'm not one of them. I lean more toward the Timex school of thought than the Rolex school.

My new monitor background! Certainly beats the original painting of the stupid deer....
I inherited a scarf with the same tartan as the young woman is wearing. Coincidence? I think not! If anyone can identify the tartan (if it's a registered one, which I never suspected), I would be most interested.

It’s not Iona’s green wellies that get my vote, but her green ideas.
Monarch of the Glen has been a regular feature on our satellite service, but I have lost track of it of late, which is a pity.
Glad to know you were able to give the wife the benefit of your X Marks learning, AA.
Goes to show that we do learn some useful knowledge around here.

I just got a pair of Barbour blue wellies at a very good price off ebay. They are surprisingly warm. By GOLLY!!!

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Sadly, Mike, Mrs. Argon doesn't consider it useful knowledge...but that, as the saying goes, is my cross to bear.

Mr. Slurpy
Spartan Tartan: Wonderful, isn't it? My favorite episode in Season 1 stars "Mr. Slurpy" - "My Dad built ships, I sell ice cream!" I envy you the six more seasons ahead.
Afterward, you might want to try "Hamish Macbeth" (Scotland) and "Ballykissangel" (Ireland).
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
